| If a second treatment is needed, wait 24 hours before applying. Filter pads should be rinsed frequently when clearing pond water. Accu-Clear can be used once per week to keep filters performing at maximum efficiency. |
| Before using Accu-Clear, make certain that the pond has vigorous aeration via a fountain, waterfall or aeration device. During hot summer months, pond water contains very little oxygen. In sunlight, algae and submerged plants produce oxygen, and in some cases may be the major source of oxygen in the pond. However, submerged plants and algae consume oxygen at night. Organic matter also consumes oxygen while decomposing. When organic matter is removed by the filter or settles to the bottom of the pond, the oxygen level may drop to harmful levels if adequate aeration is not provided. Therefore, when using Accu-Clear during the warm summer months, adequate aeration is required to avoid fish death. Do not shut off pond pumps or aeration devices at night. Aeration must be provided for pond life at all times. When used as directed, Accu-Clear is non-toxic to fish and plants. If adequate aeration is provided, oxygen levels will not drop to harmful levels. |

| Short-term salt baths are beneficialto eradicate many external parasite and fungal infections. In a plastic container, dissolve 2 1/2 cups of Pond Salt in 10 gallons of pond water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully place the infected fish in the salt bath for 5-10 minutes. Do not leave the fish in the salt bath for more than 10 minutes. Return the fish to the pond. Treatment may be repeated after 24 hours.

Stress Coat Plus+ completely neautralizes and removes chlorine, chloramine & the ammonia associated with chloramine, which is added to tap water. Chloramine is toxic to fish as it is a molecule of chlorine and ammonia. Many water conditioners mainly break the bond, releasing the toxic associated ammonia.
Pond Care Stress Coat Plus+ special formula containing a slime coat replenisher and Aloe Vera, not only eases stress but also promotes the healing of damaged fish tissue and detoxifies heavy metals from tap water. Recommended for use whenever adding new water or new fish to a pond.

Pond Care pH Up and PH Down |

What is pH? pH is the measure of acidity or alkalinity of water.
A pH reading of 7.0 is neutral, a pH higher than 7.0 is alkaline, and a pH lower than 7.0 is
acidic. The pH level of a pond can be different from day to day. Pond water should
be tested for pH levels regularly. When tests show a change in pH, use pH Up or pH Down
to slowly adjust the pH to a desired level.
| To Lower the pH
| Add 1 teaspoons per 50 gallons of pond water. Carefully mix desired dose with 2 gallons of pond water in a plastic bucket and distribute evenly around the perimeter of the pond.

| To Raise the pH
| Add 2 teaspoons per 50 gallons of pond water. For best results, add to water flow.
|
| pH should not be raised or lowered more than .5 units every 24 hours. do not treat the pond more than once in a 24 hour period.
|

Potted aquatic plants like water lilies, iris, and many other pond plants
are grown in containers within the pond. Potted plants need to be divided and repotted every
one to two years to keep the plants vigorous and blooming. Heavy clay soil, free of loose organic
matter and pesticides is used by professional pond plant growers. Unfortunately high-quality
soil suitable for use with aquatic plants is not readily available to the majority of water
gardeners. All commercially available potting soils contain combinations of sand, composted
organic matter, peat moss, vermiculite, and even fertilizer and wetting agents. Using these
types of soils in a pond leads to disastrous results. The loose fluffy soil floats in the water.
The added fertilizers leach into the water and stimulate algae growth.
Aquatic Planting Media is an aquatic plant soil comprised of a unique blend
of natural minerals, including zeolite, which provides a clean, easy to use planting media
for water gardeners. Aquatic Planting Media securely holds the plants in the pot so plants
can form a strong root system. With the addition of zeolite, Aquatic Planting Media has the
added benefit of high Nutrient Holding Capacity. Zeolite is a naturally occurring mineral
having a honeycomb-like layered crystal structure. The zeolite acts as a reservoir for nutrients
which are slowly released as needed by the plant. Aquatic Planting Media helps plants grow
by trapping and holding nutrients from aquatic fertilizer tablets that otherwise could leach
into the pond. Aquatic Planting Media will also remove nutrients from the pond water, concentrating
them in the root zone for uptake by the plants. Aquatic Planting Media is recommended for
all potted aquatic plants such as water lilies, lotus, iris as well as bog plants. Aquatic
Planting Media will not change pH or color the pond water.
