The Filtration Process
Water is pumped from pond
Water under pressure is forced into the bio-reactors which trap dirt and debris.
Beneficial bacteria convert ammonia, which is harmful to fish, into nitrate, which are consumed by aquatic plants. This is known as the Nitrogen Cycle.
Filtered water is forced up the center tube. (Optional UV)
Filtered water is returned to the pond
9ft. power cord on UV units.
The Backwash Process
Water flow is reversed and forced down the center tube
The water jets create a whirlpool effect in the bio-activator chamber
Dirt and debris loosened from the bio-activators
Dirty water is discharged out the back-flush port into the garden |

The Pondmaster Pressurized Filter System features a unique, manually operated
agitator for dislodging over 90% of the pond residue that accumulates in
the filter chamber. This patent pending feature is employed during the backwash
and rinse operation.

housings are virtually indestructible. They're big enough and tough enough
to do the job.
Each filter includes two 2" thick layers of heavy duty filter
foam that collect pond debris and incubate bacteria that convert toxic ammonia
and nitrites to harmless nitrates.
This unique low profile
design allows these filters to be used in ponds as shallow as 12" deep.
This low profile feature also allows placement near the pond edge which
allows easy access for cleaning and maintenance.
To clean, simply turn off the pump, remove the filter foam from the
housing and rinse with non-chlorinated water then replace the foam without
removing the filter from the pond.
How Submersible Filters Work.
Water is drawn down through the filter foam and pumped to the fountain or
other water feature.
These tub style filters are designed
to work with any style pump which is placed in the bottom of the housing.
Filter foam is then pressed in to place above the pump. |
