The Filtration Process

• Water is pumped from the pond.
• Water under pressure is forced through foam sponges, removing fine particles.
• Filtered water passes through the mesh tube and travels down the gap between the sponges and the center tube.
• Water flow agitates bio-rings, preventing debris buildup.
• Beneficial bacteria feed on toxic ammonia, converting it into nitrites and then into relatively harmless nitrates. Nitrates are then consumed by aquatic plants.
• Filter water is forced up the center tube.
• Clean water is discharged back into the pond.

The addition of a UV upgrade kit to your existing ClearChoice pressure filter will provide on-going control of suspended algae which causes green water. The algae comes in close contact with ultra violet light therefore destroying the reproductive ability of single-celled algae.

New Cyprio Trinamic Biological / Mechanical Filter

A high performance filter whose key features are three separate filtration processes. Dirty pond water enters via an oxygenating venturi and passes through a moving bed of patented Kaldnes K3 which is so efficient at removing ammonia and nitrite Trinamic filters support 20% more fish than their competitors. Next comes a set of fine foams to remove solid particles. Finally, the clean water passes through a second biological section to remove nitrate, allowing exceptionally clear and pure water to return to the pond.
