Microbe-Lift Pond Salt Crystals

Will help maintain a healthy pond environment and reduce the threat of parasitic disease in pond water.

Microbe-Lift Pond Salt Crystals added to your pond water can be effective in helping to maintain a healthy fish environment and, in proper dosages, has proven to be helpful in reducing the threat of parasitic infestations in the pond.

Microbe-Lift Pond Salt Crystals will temporarily block the toxic effects of nitrite, and by initiating the production of a thicker slime coat on the fish's body surface, helps to promote a stronger immune system and reduce stress.

Caution - Do not overdose. When adding salt to ponds that contain aquatic plants, be especially careful in monitoring salt concentration as salt can be a toxic effect on certain plants. Before adding salt to your pond, remove any zeolite products being used.

Directions - Salt will not evaporate from your pond. After testing your pond water with a hydrometer, you can add salt with your regular water changes. We recommend mixing salt and pond water in a bucket, and then spreading the slurry around the perimeter of your pond. Be careful to avoid direct contact with pond plants.

For Large Ponds: 5 cups (1.13 kg) per 100 gal. (378L) of pond water

CrystalClear ParaSalt

ParaSalt is formulated to increase koi and goldfish electrolytic intake which is critical in building and maintaining a healthy slime coat. Electrolytes such as potassium are essential in wound repair and in times of heavy stress (ie - during water changes or clean-outs). Salt is excellent for mucous production when healing from a wound.

CrystalClear ParaSalt Application Rates
Pond Size (gallons) Dosage (In Ounces)
Up To 100 gallons 8 Ounces
Up To 200 gallons 16 Ounces
Up To 300 gallons 24 Ounces
Up To 400 gallons 32 Ounces

Routine Application Rate
Apply ParaSalt once a month at the prescribed rates above and after a water change, clean-out or during a seasonal change. Most pond fish stress during these times and need the electrolytes to assist in repairing their slime coating.

Persistent Problem Application Rate
For salt baths, add 16 oz of ParaSalt for every 5 gallons of water in an isolated bath or quarantine tank. Placed infected fish in an aerated (use an air stone) bath for 5-10 minutes or until fish begins to turn over. Remove fish immediately if fish shows any signs of stress. After bath, immediately remove fish to a quarantine tank for 30 minutes and monitor fish closely. After 30 minutes the fish can be placed back into the pond. Make sure to acclimate the fish back into the pond water slowly by floating it in a bag of pond water in the pond so it can regulate its temperature and avoid shock.

For Best Results
Do not over apply ParaSalt and follow directions thoroughly for maximum affect. If you are unsure of the bath application please consult your local CrystalClear® pond professional.
